There are many job roles within multi camera productions which need to be fulfilled to the highest quality the people who have these job roles need to have a certain set of skills within the criteria in which they are involved with for the multi camera production. If they did not have these many job roles the overall production would not be to the highest standard and quality and would not be as eye catching and appealing to the audience which it is aimed at. Within multi camera production there are 10 roles which need to be fulfilled for the production to look good

Director
the director for the production is in charge of what the production looks like and sounds like, they are in charge of the cameras position in which they are placed at and the angle they are set in order to make the production achieve the look and standard which the director is going for. They are also in charge of the sound which goes into the production and at what time they go in.
The director role requires a number of duties in which the director need to have in order to be able to do the role for the multi camera production. The director of the production must pay attention to everything even to the minuscule small things and have good attention to detail during the directing of the production, another duty in which the director needs to perform when doing his role within the multi camera production is that they should be able to lead a team successfully with where cameras should go and what to do and when to do it in order to make the production flow smoothly and look of high quality. The director must understand clearly the differences between the use of single and multi camera techniques must be able to clearly establish and tell the two apart from each other.
As well as having duties to perform for their roles they have to have a set of certain qualifications to do their role effectively these qualifications include they must have a detailed understanding of movies and multi camera productions are made before beginning any filming or script writing, this links in with another qualification which directors need to have which is the ability to be able to write a a script correctly which is easy to follow for the other members of the cast. Camera Operator
The camera operator is in charge of operating the cameras on the floor of the set, they are in charge of multiple cameras not just one they must operate the cameras in the way the director wishes, it is a difficult role they are usually always moving and not just in one stationary position..
The camera operator has to have a set of skills when doing this role for the particular production these skills include being able to follow instructions with good accuracy and attention to detail, especially from the director in order to make the production look how the director wants it to look, the camera within multi camera are always moving they are hardly ever stationary this requires a skill, it requires them to be fast and be able to move quick to keep up with the shots and the moving of the camera to fit the shot required for the production to look visually appealing to the audience. This role also needs the camera operator to have good hand eye coordination in order to make the shots look good and make them connote what the director wants the shot to connote. For example if the shot requires the camera operator to make the scene to look dramatic he must know how and where to place the camera in order to obtain this look which the production is achieving for.
As well as needing skills they also need a set of qualifications in order fulfill this role of camera operator for the production they need these qualifications in order to successfully be able to do the role in which they are assigned to make the production flow smoothly between each shot. The camera operator must be able to successfully multi task in order to keep up with instructions as well as focus on the shot which they are shooting. They also must be able to give creative input within their role of work one other qualifications they would need is to be able to use camera angles and shot types effectively within the production in which they are filming. Sound Mixer
The sound mixer is in charge of operating the sound within the production for the whole of the way through, they are in charge of recording and picking up sounds from the crew and cast of the show for example what the presenter and guest are saying with the dialogue the sound effects such as the theme tune for the production or show.
In order to do this job the sound mixer must have a set of skills to successfully complete the job role in which they are given. The sound mixer has to have good strength and paitence in order to be able to life the heavy equipment in which they pick up the sound with for example the microphone which hangs over the cast of the show picking up on what they are saying. Another skill which is needed in order to do this role would be to have good communication within the group which they are working with or closely with in order to be able to complete their role to the best and highest quality and have the production in the way that it needs to be. Another skill which is needed in order to fulfill the role of sound mixer is having good attention to detail to things within the production even with the smallest elements.
In order to do this roll effectively and to a professional level they must have a certain range of qualifications as well as skills to do the roll to the level in which the director wants it at. The sound mixer needs to have good knowledge on how to use the equipment which they need to pick up the sound and or audio. Another qualification which is needed in order to be correct for the role of sound mixer in order to fill the role for the production and to complete it to a professional standard this is to be multi task to a high level of quality to be able to cope with the many things and instructions being given out to fulfill the role and task for the job role which they are assigned. Vision mixing
The role of the vision mixer is to edit the production with fades and transitions and other effects on the action within the multi camera production, There are skills needed for this job role which need to be fulfilled in order to do this role.
One skill which is needed for this job role within this production would be to be able to concentrate on more than one thing at one different time as multiple things are happening at once, another skill would be that they need to would be to be able to work well within a group and have effective communication within small groups of people. One other skill which is needed is to have good skills within computers and the IT department for the production. These skills will allow the person who has the role to do the role to the highest quality and to a professional level. As well as needing skills and duties they would also need some qualifications to do this job.
The vision mixer needs to be able to use the programmes and equipment and have experience with the equipment and the role in which they need to do and fulfill within the vision mixing role. set designer
The job of the set designer is to create the aesthetics for the production which is being filmed be it single or multi camera productions. This job requires the person doing the role to fulfill certain duties for the role which
they have been asked to do.
The set designer must be aware of the space around them how much space they have around them and what they can use that space for what they can fill that space will in order to make the production look the best in which it can. The set designer must also be able to have creative ideas and imagination within the input which they put into the production and within the space they are given, Another duty of the set designer is that they need to have good or excellent technical skills and abilities with the programmes in which they used during the making of the production and with their job roles.

lighting desk
the lighting desk job role requires someone to control the lighting for each scene according to how the director and producer want it to be and according to what is happening within the scene which is being filmed,
the role of lighting desk requires the person to have good timing and good sense of when to use the lighting for the scenes for full effect and atmosphere. This links in with another duty and or skill in which they need to have is they must be able to successfully multi task in order to be able to obtain multiple amounts of information at one time from the director and the floor manager. The lighting desk must also have good attention to detail in order to be able to get every piece of the production to a good appealing standard for the audience as well as for the director.
As well as needing skills and duties to follow they need to have qualifications to be able to do their job role they must be able to use the equipment to a competent level and to the correct timings which are required, they must also know how to work well under pressure and fix any problems which they may come across during the filming so that it doesn't interfere with the production being filmed they must also have experience with working within groups and being able to communicate well within the group within multi camera productions and the hierachy as seen below within the picture

Floor Manager
The floor manager's role is to ensure that the set props and equipment are placed in the correct area and whether or not they are safe enough to be used for the cast members and people within the same room as the production which is being filmed,
This role needs the person doing the role to be competent in working under pressure and cope with multiple instructions being given to them at one time, they are also required to be competent with their area of work as it is with a lot of high risk equipment they must be able to eliminate any danger or risk of injury from the set and so must be competent in some aspects of their work area.
The job role also requires the person to have good spatial awareness of everything around them in the location of where everything will go and where to place props and equipment safely and in good areas,
The job role also requires the person to have certain qualifications within their work area, the job role like other roles insist the person have at least some previous experience in theatre and media related work and have past experience with management of production similar to this job role. The job role also says that the person should also have good competent technological expertise within the field of their work so to ensure things run smoothly and almost problem free throughout the whole element of filming of the production. Presenter
The presenters role and job within multi camera productions is to present the show and ask guests and cast members the questions they tell the audience everything that is happening and everything which will be happening throughout the show for the audience.
This job requires the persons who's role it is to have a set of skills and qualifications, this job requires the person to be confident to perform in front of a wide audience and cameras and be able to smoothly present the show with little to no mistakes from any of the scenes. The job also requires the person to be professional in the way they present a serious tone and mode of address without being distracted by other things which may be happening around them and carry on presenting. The job also requires them to work well under pressure and in areas of high stress levels with cameras and people watching them,
they require people to have some qualifications within this field of work they require the person to have experience within area of media which can benefit them such as drama and acting which can help them with learning to battle with nerves. VT operator
The role of the VT operator is to organize the videos showing throughout the show such as videos which are going to be shown to the audience and the people at home any videos or VT which need to be shown is controlled by the VT operator.

the role of the graphics person is to be in control of the graphics that pop up during the show for the presenter to read such as auto cues and competitions entries which the presenter reads out to the viewer.
